"New Year's Potato Chaos" is a first-person indie horror game set in a Russian winter atmosphere, which reinterprets winter holidays.

Plot and Atmosphere

The events unfold in a godforsaken village, shackled by eternal permafrost and shrouded in impenetrable mystical darkness. You are an animated snow sculpture, the last bastion of purity in this cursed place. Your mission is to collect all the sacred potatoes scattered throughout the darkest corners of the settlement. According to ancient legends, it is this root vegetable that possesses the power to banish the ancient evil that has consumed the village on New Year's Eve.

Gameplay and Threats

The path to salvation is blocked by nightmarish entities:

• Forest Spirits: Ethereal beings hunting for warmth and movement, capable of instantly turning the hero into a formless pile of snow.

• Mad Demyan: The former village elder, whose mind has been clouded by the darkness. He patrols the surroundings, armed with a rusty pitchfork, and his furious scream heralds an imminent chase.

Arsenal and Victory

The only means of defense and the key to victory is the legendary "Potato Cannon" — a makeshift engineering marvel capable of firing charged tubers. However, this weapon is intended exclusively for the final battle with the embodiment of the Main Evil. Once the boss is defeated, the eternal permafrost recedes, but the price of salvation is high: your snow-hero melts and perishes.
