Enjoyed the music and the gameplay!
Apparently it can run a little fast on some machines, but if you're down for a challenge that is no problem!
Also I love that player 2 gets to be red, AKA the best color ;)
Opera GX Offline is an 8 bit 'Shoot em up' that uses a Master System colour palette to give it that old retro vibe. Features music from nene and sound effects from hosch.

At 0615 hours , UFO's were monitored heading towards earth. 0700 hrs online capability's were lost and we are now blind to what's going on.
We are calling on you to destroy the UFO's and bide us time unitl we can re-establish online communications.
Development:
Started well, but had some issues with the 'step' event which caused some delay as i tried to work around a few things that didn't work as i expected them to. These delays left me rushing to finish the game to have something playable. So many things didn't get implemented or were missed. Overall i got most things done that were important to the game jam brief, although i would of like a more polished visual score indication at this stage. I wouldn't expect anyone to play any longer than 5-10 mins whilst testing, so for now i think there is enough here to show some potential at least.
No updates will be made until after the jam results.
