I like the direction of intro and obstacles generator. My favourite weapon is triple machine gun. So sad when loose it accidentally. Highscore is 8675.
Nice entry! Love the little opening cutscene. Some variation in the sounds would be nice as they get a little repetitive. Nice variety of enemies and overall game feel. Nice job!
Nice! I like all the different themes, the beginning cutscene, and the variety of enemies and weapons! Maybe could use some music? My high score is 12800.
Our entry for the Opera GX Game Jam, a classic arcade side scrolling shooter.
Controls
You control your ships up and down movement while automatically traveling to the right. You need to shoot and dodge enemies and their bullets. You also need to watch out for the walls, if they push you off to the side they will crush you.
Collect power ups to change your weapon and use your barrel roll to deflect enemy bullets.

Other
If you want to restart the game or if you've run out of lives you need to either refresh the browser or press the [R] key. Note that it's best to refresh the page as restarting the game could lead to memory leaks if you've restarted several times.
Player 1 and Player two can join at any time by pressing any of their keys as long as they have lives left.
If you press [TAB] during the control help screen you can switch between QWERTY and DVORAK controls.
You can also switch color theme by pressing [LEFT] or [RIGHT] arrow at any time.
Gameplay
The goal of the game is to survive and collect score. Every enemy kill awards points multiplied by your multiplier. You earn multiplier by distance traveled, every x distance a distance marker will appear and show you how far you've traveled and once you pass it your multiplier goes up.
The game will get increasingly more difficult the longer you survive, more enemies will spawn and your speed will increase making it harder to dodge enemies and the walls.
Themes
You can select from five different color themes. The first one is the original color, with the other ones we've tried to match the Opera GX browsers color themes (hence the naming shown in game).
Story
The work week has been all sorts of hell and the weekend is finally here! What better way to relax than opening up a drink, whipping up the browser and enjoying some good old memes?
But wait, what is this? NO INTERNET?
In pure desperation you reboot the router, the computer and check all cables. All to no avail.. You slam your desk, the drink topples over and spills on the floor.
"this week cant get any worse" you think.
As you mop up the drink behind your desk you hear a faint noise.. You hone in on the sound, trying to find its origin. Its coming from the CAT-5 cable.. What is this? You hear the sound of small engines, pews of lasers and a faint barking.
This is it! The source of the problem!
Whatever is in there must suffer for taking away your internet! Its time to enter the CAT-5 and fend of the packet invaders!
Enemies
This enemy will hover and fire bullets your way.
This enemy will charge straight at you if they are close enough.
These turrets will sit on the terrain and fire towards you.
This enemy will blast a laser straight ahead from afar.
Power ups
Bounce: This power up grants you bouncing bullets.
Laser: This power up grants you three laser bullets.
Scatter: This power up grants you three bullets that spreads out.
Shield: This power up grants you one additional hit and also deflects a bullet.
Other
Intro sequence
The intro sequence is only showed once to speed up restarts. If you really want to see it again you need to perform the following:
Open your browsers developer tools, usually F12.
Go to the console tab.
Enter the following command
localStorage.removeItem("introseen")
this will remove the introseen flag.Refresh your browser
High score
Your highscore is stored in local storage, if your high score is not saved when you close and open the game again it's either because your browser doesn't have local storage support or your browser is set to clear this storage.
