Very good game. Perfect retro style. The art is somewhat different from the one on the original cover, but I really liked it.
I liked the increasing difficulty of each obstacle, but the boss killed me easily, and after the third try I started to really miss a checkpoint.
I would love to see a longer version with more features after the jam.
Okay, I loved this game. It looked and sounded great. I like how very NES you made it feel. The boss fights were fun. I feel the levels leading up to the bosses could have used just a tad more attention, but other than that, good game, and a great interpretation of the box art.
This was a really fun game so far. The final boss gives a reallygood challenge. I think the fighting arena for the final boss should be a little bigger for the inexperienced, but it's a perfect size for people like me who love to play hard games like these.
I love old platformers and I was playing original Krion Conquest. With this colors and mechanics it looks like very interesting game sketch (I mapped a gamepad to complete the game!). We eagerly waits for some extended version.

There was once a Phoenix, a great powerful Phoenix this Phoenix protected humanity from the specters of darkness. Without the Phoenix humanity would spiral into darkness. One day, the specters attacked and killed the Phoenix. It was the beginning of the end... or so it would seem. In a last desperate attempt the Phoenix gave its powers to one of its followers, in the hope she would end the Specters tyranny.
This game was made for #badboxart2018 so it was kinda rushed, but I hope people still enjoy playing it.
