This is the 5th and final installment in my 5-year-old FNaF-Fangame franchise: Five Nights as Purple Guy. Much like the previous games in the series (Except 2 and 3), this one is an unfinished and broken mess. Although, I would have liked it not to be.
I started this game in 2018 after being obviously inspired by the western theme of Red Dead Redemption 2. I thought a fun way to create a small project in the west would be to put the man behind the slaughter himself in the western frontier. Originally, the story I was planning was for Purple Guy having to defeat Phone Guys henchmen in the wild west, and stop his evil plot of monopolizing the phone networks in the wild west. Phone guy had been the antagonist in Five Nights as Purple Guy 2, 3, and even 4.
Sadly, without backing up the game I accidentally opened the games project into a new version of Unity. This broke every aspect of the game, from textures to collisions, to even movement. This version from 2019 was the last "playable" export of the game I had, so I decided to release it to give people who liked my previous Five Nights as Purple Guy games something to check out while in quarantine.
This, along with my next game GoB 2020 will be the last fan games I ever make. It's been 6 years since I started game making, and 5 since I released my first fan game. And since then many people have downloaded and played my games, and millions have seen them through Youtubers like IULITM and FusionZGamer. I still get emails to this day of people telling me they love my games and have nostalgia from playing them 5 years ago. It means a lot, and this game is dedicated to you. It has been fun being apart of this community.
My rendition of Purple Guy will return... for One Last GoB.
