Reap (originally "Ripped The Life") is a puzzle platforming game in which you can take life and give it back to anything that moves. When something is ‘out of life’ it moves slower and vice versa. Use this mechanic to solve puzzles.

Reap features 24 levels that reward thoughtful playing, skill and patience.

This game was originally made for Ludum Dare 44 game jam (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/44/ripped-the-life), but due to it getting I lot of positive feedback I decided to expand the idea further.

Controls:

  • A/D or Arrows to move

  • Space/W/Up arrow to jump

  • Left click to throw spell (to take life or give life)

  • Right click to throw spell at yourself

Here are some of the more notable changes / additions I made to the final version:

  • More levels

  • Character animations

  • Color pallet

Big Thanks to everyone who played and rated my game! :D
It was my first Ludum Dare and I'm looking forward to participating in future ones as well.

Hey everyone!
Reap is nearly complete so it's time to test it out!
If you're interested in playtesting Reap just let me know & I will send you the link to the game.
Also, I can leave a link to your GJ profile on the game's page once it comes out!

Thanks!

I added trampolines into Reap. I guess it's a weird to combine Grim Reaper and Trampolines but whatever, it's fun non the less.

You can jump further by slowing down your fall. It makes sense when you think about it so I'm not sure why I haven't realized that until now.

Not all moving platforms are helpful

Sometimes you just have to try again... and again... and again...

I worked on the new color pallet for Reaping Pace.
