Shard Roadmap
Shard is in early beta and I’m still experimenting with ideas. Here’s what I’m planning so far (this can change as I go):
v0.2.0 – Rockets & Lasers (current)
Added rockets (slow, high damage with small explosions)
Added lasers (fast, accurate shots)
General early‑beta tweaks
v0.3.0 – Tank Builder Update
Improve the tank builder menu
More tank parts and stat options
Basic support for “hack-style” builds
v0.4.0 – Game Feel Update
Reload indicator (like a spinning crosshair)
Better hit effects and explosions
Small tuning/balance changes
v0.5.0 – Dungeon Test Map
First dungeon‑style test map (rooms, corridors, walls)
Basic tile-based layout instead of a plain arena
Experiments with darker, more atmospheric visuals
v1.0.0 – Shard Release
Core gameplay stable (tanks, builder, weapons, hacks)
Main bugs and major jank reduced
Ready for more people to try without everything breaking
v1.2.0 – Pixel & Dungeon Overhaul
Switch to 48×48 pixel‑style tanks with darker colors
Proper dungeon tiles (floors, walls, clearer layout)
UI tweaks to match the new pixel/dungeon style
I’m one person and still learning, so this roadmap might change, but this is the general direction for Shard.
