Something that just now hit me is that humanity might look very different from how it does in the normal universe, judging by Rik seemingly having weird fish/bat ears that don't appear to be part of the mask considering in some of the art showing their face in more detail they appear to be part of the head.

Granted this is based on a couple assumptions and also Rik might somehow be something not human, but if it is true then that would make sense considering humanity would probably have to undergo some kind of evolution to survive down in the underground (Because correct me if I'm wrong but a lot of signs are pointing to humanity being the one sealed away here and Rik has made it to the surface to break the barrier I think)

Anyways sorry for the little rant here just wanted to put a little theory thingy here
