*Once upon a time, Humans and Monsters lived together in peace, but those quiet times would soon change when war broke out. Humanity victorious, they sealed monsterkind in the mountains of Ebott, where they remain to this very day.

In this Fangame to the well-renowned UNDERTALE by Toby Fox, play as Hope, the fifth human to enter the unknown depths of the underground. With a book in hand and their seemingly useless glasses, wander through brand new locales such as the abandoned stronghold of Monsterkind during the war, or perhaps see familiar sights from back in the past. Whilst Hope's ultimate fate is set in stone… their journey to reach that end, is to your own making.

• Every single boss contains a unique method of sparring and killing them.

• A teenage protagonist, so instead of a dumb 7 year old, it’s a dumb (teenage) year old!

• Is Canon compliant with Undertale?! HA, I laugh at thee! (We are trying our best, but some creative liberties are being taken.)

Will Undertale Futility follow the canon of Undertale Yellow (by Team Yellow)?

• Short answer: Yes and no. The long answer is that Futility contains many references and Easter eggs to various AU and fan games across Undertale's history. While the game isn’t being written with any being directly connected, the game's neutral routes contain small details that imply they lead to another fan game's story, including yellow.

Will this fan-game include returning characters from UNDERTALE?

• The main cast will be a set of completely new characters, but some side characters will be from undertale, though with a severely lower importance. The games focus is on the new cast and developing them.

Will there be a mobile port?

• No.

When can we expect to see the demo?

• UTF is an independent project. Therefore, the game will take much longer than others. I’ll post updates once a month. But I won’t hold on it releasing this year or the next.

While it’s not necessary to play UNDERTALE before playing Futility, it is highly recommended to engage more effectively with the game's prequel elements.
