In this RPG, you don't have to kill anyone. Every enemy can be "defeated" without violence. Dance with slime. Pet the dog. Tell your favorite secret to the knight. Or ignore this choice and unleash a devastating rain on your enemies.

The plot tells that once upon a time two races ruled the Earth: monsters and humans. But one day a war broke out between them, which the latter won. The seven greatest human magicians locked the monsters underground with a Barrier spell. The only entrance to the Dungeon is a small hole in Mount Ebott. Many years after the end of the war, a human child, which is the player, inadvertently falls into this hole.

The main task of the hero is to explore the world of monsters, get to know its inhabitants and find a way out of this dungeon.

During the battle, the player controls a small heart that symbolizes the hero's soul. By avoiding enemy attacks, the player can kill or spare the attacker, which will later affect the ending. The ending is also influenced by the interaction with other characters outside of the battle.

The game has a great emphasis on the moral side, because the ending of the game and the passage as a whole depend on whether the player killed the monsters or spared them.
