Alright, here's my review and thoughts on the game.

First off, I REALLY like the vibe of the game. Dream concept too. The Sega CD Startup screen's a nice thing to add, aswell as it corrupting every fail, and once you hit the red screen, you have to reinstall. Now for the gameplay itself. It has LEVEL DESIGN NOW? Now THAT'S a game I like. And the mechanics too, Omochao shows up to give you instructions, and never shows up again apparently. EVEN AFTER deleting your game conclusion save. That's fine, but just a little nitpick I have. Back to the mechanics, you can sprint now! Which is required to jump (the game takes advantages of this later), and there's rings! Bothers me how spikes are instant kills though. I'd like the rings to actually be used other than just a collectible. Maybe like how it works in the Sonic games? As for the level design, I have nothing against it. I like a challenge. Don't like how the clouds at the spike part don't have collision on their walls besides just the top, though. Does catch people offguard. I like the use of springs, by the way. Now, the last part. You're greeted with a key, you can collect it, or ignore it. Your fate depends on if you do or not. After progressing, you come face to face with a seemingly endless flat space, and you can't sprint. Progress further, and the screen begins to shake, and suddenly the dark entity Cream The Rabbit rushes at you, thus giving you a jumpscare and closing the game instead of a BSOD like the first game did. Open the game again, and Vanilla wakes up in the lab Shadow brought her to in the good ending of the first game. Shadow and Eggman are gone, and then Vanilla's alone. She hears some noise, and then she's then attacked by a doppelgänger of Shadow The Hedgehog. Open the game once more, and you'll get a message saying, "Game events concluded. Close the game." This is the bad ending of the game, now for the good ending. To achieve this, simply collect the key which unlocks your sprint and jump button at the last moment before dark entity Cream catches you. REALLY annoys me how you have to do it almost perfectly, maybe unlock the sprint a few seconds before Cream catches you? If succesfully jumped over Cream, then you will be greeted by a door. This is the key's main purpose. Once you open the door, you see the REAL Cream The Rabbit. Approach her, and you're presented with an image of Cream saying the following line, "Mama, please rescue us..". After the image fades out, the game closes, and when trying to open it again, you're once again granted with the "Game events concluded." screen. This is the good ending.
This is a short yet fun game, which surpasses its predecessor. But it's missing what made that game popular in the first place; The BSOD. I'm fine with it not being used here to keep some variety, but it IS missing a part of the first.
No rating here, just my opinions.
