Oh boy time to write a FNaW Fangame review again.
It's semi-tradition for me that once I play through a FNaW Game in its entirety, I make a Review and this game is no different. And Holy Entity 01. This game was actually really good.
For starters, all of the assets in this game are incredibly well made, even the Title Screen and Warning Screen are appealing. Then again, this is Turkish Wario we're talking about and his graphic design skills are some of the best in the entire Community I'd say! Solar-Neon did an incredible job designing not just the rooms, but how each character would act in the environment. I've not had a hard Max Mode Custom Night such as this since FNaW: The Return Deluxe. SillyKat also did a great job with the voice acting for each of the nights, without the need to force the mechanics of the game into the calls each night, because they're explained before the night starts!
Putting this part in a spoiler so I don't spoil anything because the game did come out 2 days ago. But WOW. Night 6 was unexpected. Returning to the FNaW 1 factory as the cast progressively comes in to try and kill Henry Calder (The Protagonist as stated in the description for those who don't read the story) makes the night incredibly intense towards the end.
The Strongest part of this game I'd say is the custom music for the Title Screen. It genuinely feels terrifying as is more memorable than the same tune over and over - sure I like FNaW but even I get tired of the same music being used for ever single fangame, just pitched down, reversed, sped up etc. - accompanied by official Nintendo Music for the Extras and Custom Nights.
There are a few things I would change or add to make the game a slight bit better because no game can be perfect at launch. For one, the jumpscares do feel... Out of place in a way. I'm not saying they are terrible, they just feel dull and bland. Simply adding some shadows and a blur effect could make the jumpscares more memorable I'd say. Another thing is probably the Crossroad. I don't have a problem with its idea, but I once had this encounter where Wario, Waluigi and Luigi were all in the crossroad at the same time. Luckily at that point, I knew how to deal with them and what order to deal with them in, but for a less experienced player, I'd recommend adding a form of lock. This could be as simple as adding a small note next to the buttons. It wouldn't our right say "deal with these 3 in this order" but it may give the player a hint as to who to deal with first.
Night 6 also has some issues, not as many as Nights 1 - 5 but there is some issues. Such as Yoshi. Yoshi's mechanic is easy to understand. Find him in the cameras when you hear a creak. Sounds simple, but it isn't. The creak that Yoshi has is pretty much unnoticeable during the night because of the other enemies sounds. Simple fix luckily. Just change the sound to Yoshi's cry or something. Then you know he's appeared and you should look through the cameras.
SECRET NIGHT? I was not expecting there to be a technical 7th night to the game , let alone one with more characters. Unfortunately this is probably the weakest part of the game. Don't get me wrong the night looks great, all of the poses are cool. The issue is the lack of mechanic explanation. I think Piratestringer had a similar issue when he streamed the night on his YT. From what I can tell, Daisy and Bruno Gate have the easiest mechanic of just closing the door, Ashley has the second easiest because you just need to control her awareness when you enter the closet and Bowser you need to hide in the closet for a certain amount of time. The rest of the cast, AKA Birdo and DK (I think), I have no clue how to deal with. DK I just don't know because I didn't get to the time where he appears because Birdo kept on killing me. I think she works like Luigi or Waluigi in the main nights but I'm not sure. Going to Piratestring's stream, it apparentally unlocks the Custom Night. Maybe have it so Max Mode Underground unlocks that instead of the Secret Night. The Characters look cool though, so theres that.
Overall, a great test turned into a game turned into a near masterpiece. Can't wait to see if the BTD story is built upon. Who knows, maybe we can get different Viruses. Never did like their designs in the main games.
A solid 8/10, not perfect, but damn near!
This game was overall a very fun time but I do wish there was an option to stretch the game to 16:9 as I honestly wouldn't care if it looked a little stretched. Besides that this game was pretty solid so good job!
The demo was pretty fun to be honest! My only complaint is that the office looks a little bland and out of place from all of the other rooms. But besides that the rest was perfect.
wario
I just beat the 7/25 modes and I did not get a cutscene for some reason, can you take a look into that please and thank you.
AYO ?!?!?!?!? TURKISH WARIO FAN GAME FRFR ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!???
Well yes, here is another fnaw fan game that I'l about to give my 100% skills (for a last chance) to make a random ass shit.
This actually started as a little test fan game basics then turned into an actual fan game for fun.
Richard Mcroy has went missing after taking a job as a night guard in the factory and no one knows what happened but he could be dead or could be somewhere else, the investigaters found nothing but the office doors were locked. There was one thing no one have mentioned about something, the warehouse a bit far behind the factory with a underground that connects to the factory, warehouse was abandoned for sure the goverment wanted to reuse the warehouse's underground area for hiding the stuff in the factory after the last incident that happened in the factory,a man named "Henry Calder" got the job as a night guard in the underground section of the warehouse that they found but who knows what will happen next ?
