SONIC.HFS: RETURN OF THE LOST ONE

Just got done playing the demo and this was...something, i suppose.

Overall i think this is a pretty good concept for a round 2 but it needs to be executed better.

• The level design needs a LOT of work. especially with those parts with the hanging bars they are way too long.

• The lives don't reset when you close and re-open the game unless you game over

• In scrap brain act 2 the wall above the hanging bars part isn't fully solid and can be reached with the orbs as shown in the picture.

• The cutscenes felt pretty lacking, like they didn't show a lot of stuff that just happens. Like how after the beginning cutscene sonic just appears in scrap brain. No build up, no dialogue maybe explaining he needs one more chaos emeralds before hand, nothing. Same with the cutscene when he finds the emerald. It randomly cuts off and cuts to him getting launched up by a spring. Also it doesn't show sonic transforming into super in the cutscene.

• The super sonic boss was...something? The first phase is weird, there's no effect or anything when you press Z just the exe hurt sound, also if you die there the game just restarts like that, no cutscene or continue. The quick time event after phase 1 (if you can even call it that) isn't even a quick time event as there's no time limit for it. And phase 2 felt extremely rushed, like super sonic's spinball is just one frame of the animation. Nothing hurts you in this phase, and the only way to hurt tails was to stand right next to him and press X when he fired the energy sphere otherwise it wouldn't hit him.

Like said earlier, nice idea, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired.
