A Reflection

Many individuals with mixed cultural backgrounds grow up outside their main or dominant culture, which leads to feelings of alienation and confusion of cultural identity. People who have been brought up within the dominant culture often assume experiences to be common such as experiencing certain foods or events, unintentionally isolating those who don't share them. 

Through interactive storytelling, The Reflection allows players to step into the shoes of someone facing these struggles, and what it feels like to navigate multiple cultures and the fear of alienation. The main message is that it's okay to be outside the dominant culture, cultural identity is personal and that it should not be judged or should be alienated for their experiences or lack of experiences.
