Simple game, but really well made! I included it in part 28 of my Indies vs Gamers compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/uJSp1nsbHT0
Oh my god I love this game! The sound effects, the little jingle that plays at the start. The little NES controller icon with "controller OK?". Just, wow, this has so much charm! My two only major gripes would be that for one, there is no leaderboard implementation, which is really sad cause I had a bitchin' score! The other being the difficulty. I literally found myself avoiding hearts and searching for enemis to run into in an attempt go just get the game to end at about stage 4. With these two things looked into a bit, I would play this game to no end!

There's even a little contest going on with prizes for the top three leaderboard positions, much in the vein of the 80s!

Haha. I just took so many scorpiens to the face. Simple but fun. Still requires thinking too. Fun game. :D
Cool game, I really like when things are retro. (I prefer NES stuff over ZX Spectrum 1-bit graphics, but that's just personal taste). I like how you used color for variety even though everything was 1-bit.
Would you consider checking my game out to repay the favor? http://gamejolt.com/games/raiden-hakusan/80298
This is a game about getting good treasure and avoiding scorpsions.
