What do you think?

This is pretty awesome! I found that the game understood what I wanted it to do most of the time. It's clear that it's well thought out!

Fun fact: I think this is the only game in the jam where you can use the toilet (even though the one in Gameboy style came pretty close!).

The engine is nice as well, I'll look into it myself I think.

Good job!

Congratulations on your first game!
Unfortunately I'm not very experienced with these kinds of games, so I had problems with the controls.

OPEN and probably other verbs are missing from HELP.
I found a code but couldn't figure out how to use it to open the safe. I also found batteries but couldn't figure out how to put them into the controller.

I guess I will remain stuck in your house forever.

Its shocking to know that it is written by a 8 year old. I still eat legos in that age! Great work!

Congratulations on your first game! I didn't know this adventure game engine and it works pretty good.

I like all the small details you put in the game. Sadly, I couldn't flush the toilet after taking a poo.... :)

Keep up the good work!

congratulations :-) game's nice and for me it was nice to jump in an unknown house - text only - with few more than some verbs and cardinal direction to play with. Ah, is there a way to flush the poo :-) ? A dirty toilet didn't prevent me from leaving the house, anyway
I never heard about adventure classroom - but if it can give it a chance to do game like this it rocks.

In this game, you can walk around Andrew's house and interact with each of the objects. The goal is fairly simple - find a way to get out of the house!

It uses a basic 2 word parser system, all the standard commands work, but if you are in any doubt then enter 'HELP' and press enter.

This is a fairly basic retro style text adventure written by my 8 year old nephew Andrew. He wanted to learn to program so we decided to use Adventure Jam as an opportunity to teach him some basic coding. His entry was written using Adventuron Classroom, which is a fairly new tool specifically for the authoring of Interactive Fiction.

Please be nice and remember Andrew is only 8 and is new to this type of game, as well as to coding.
