A Night with Nadine: A Bite-sized Ren'Py Visual Novel

Just played this and reached the "Supper" ending! It was actually a well-needed refresher among the VNs available here - short and sweet (which is often a good thing!)

As for your um...self-critique at the end, I applaud your eagerness to recognize areas of improvement, but there is no need to put them in the game like that, as the experience can vary from player to player, some of which may be just fine with what you've done!

After all, the player character is ideally supposed to be shapeable by the choices made, not just one way that entertains as many different people as possible. They kinda have to start out "bland" as you put it so that they become a canvas to paint with the choices you give them. It can be very easy to work different personalities into choices about the toasting of bread ("toasted" van hint at a sense of patience, while "not toasted" can hint as a sense of "convenience over time" in the character of the player's role).

Since I'm ten years late, I spotted no grammatical errors in my route, and I think the simple but cute style of the visuals served the aesthetic of the VN's writing!

All in all, I would hope that you display more confidence as a creator in your later works, as your ideas are very nice!!

OOH!!!! can i just say i LOVE this game? it's so cute and just simple enough to still be lovely and entertaining! the music and art is so well made!

i should mention one error i noticed in my first playthrough, in the sleepover ending when nadine is preparing food for you and she (or, it SHOULD be her) asks if you want your bread toasted:

...yeah, that's not right lol

but it's a small error! i understand how you could make a mistake like that...so much to look over ;u;
