I enjoyed it! I liked how the arrow keys going the same direction messed with my sense of wanting to go back. Graphics are visually appealing (although somewhat harrowing when the chicken dies :( ) Overall, nice job!
Originally made for a Game Jam, I have become fond of my little creation and I endeavor to flesh it out and make something of it.
Why did the chicken cross the road?
This file is the Arcade Styled Edition of the game.
You immediate objective is to cross back and forth along the road to gain points and top the Highscore chart (Essentially the game "Chicken").
Make sure you avoid the police or they will remove your highscore or purposefully jump in front of an ambulance vehicle to gain an additional life.
Future Developments will include more game modes that can be unlocked by reaching certain goals.
CONTROLS: Move with the arrow keys
The controls are very simple yet are so open to complexity and technique.
Each arrow key acts as a single jump in 1 direction, while your character automatically faces the direction you must go. Depending on how you use the arrow key can be the difference between life and death in this game, whether you like to speed run it by pushing 3 buttons at a time or take your time one step at a time.
