It seems like you are just a beginer, like you are a kid doing this for fun or a school project, keep working at it and practice your GML coding.
Have you tried GameMaker Studio? Keep using GameMaker 8 if you want but give Studio a try.
Archery mini fun game.
Control:
To start a game and between levels press "space" .
Aim with mouse cursor, press left mouse button hold and release them to shoot.
