I looked at this and thought... huh this looks like that one stage in the Crumble demo... and sure enough its practically the same thing.
Though I kinda like how in this game the plane keeps flying when some parts are broken off (maybe that's also in Crumble but it never happened to me).
Maybe you could make it work like that as some sort of mini game in Crumble (if there isn't one already) and if you wanted to go crazy you could have it be 4 player (on a single plane or maybe racing on there own plane) or maybe even force players to jump from one plane to another (once it runs out of fuel or something) or even have other vehicles like boats.
What I'm trying to say is I like this idea and I think you could add even more wacky stuff to it to make it even more fun.
