games good very interesting mechanics, my only issue is that there should be a way to remove motionblur on low graphics since it lags the game quite a lot on low end pcs

Honestly, this is a really respectable way to send off the series if it really is the last time you do a FNaTI game.

Instead of doing something overly grand for the sake of it or just trying too hard, it's a nice, simple game that’s a blast to play! I love the projector gimmick and how the AM is still only conveyed through sound. The enemy models also look great, even if they are just heavily edited versions of the original Castaway models lol.

If I have any critiques, it's a mix of a personal issue and what everyone else has been saying already.

First off, like everyone else mentioned, the game could be better optimized. It's fine, I can run the game, but there were times when the FPS would spike.

Secondly, for me personally, I just couldn't understand the Phone Guy. This wouldn't be a problem since there are captions on the TV, which is a cool and helpful feature! Except, ironically, they are almost impossible to read. It's even more ironic when he specifically explains one character, and the caption text is so big that it was shrunk down to an absolutely tiny size just to fit on the screen.

I can't tell if that was intentional as a joke about how old FNaF fangames didn't explain mechanics well, but it really prevented me from enjoying the game as much as I could have.

While I beat Night 1, I'm going to wait until you try to fix this issue, as it was not fun trying to figure out what I had to do for about three attempts.

Still, it's great, and I give it a 9/10!

A Week At Castaway Cay: Broken Chains (Proof of Concept)

A Two-Night proof of concept for what a fully finished version of AWACC:BR would be like. I may add more in the future, but I am going largely off of my 2019 concepts, and the cutoff of what I remember is the cutoff of this game's content.

"As you're in here, something out there is controlling your body".

They left you behind. You were angry. Your once happy visage, now being the only thing between you, and the dangers of the outdoors. You died not long after - it feels that way, at least. It's got to be.

You can escape, and reclaim your body to live out what little time remains before the building goes up in flames, taking the rest of you with it.

A Week at Castaway Cay: Broken Chains (2026) is a recreation of a game I had cancelled back in 2019. The story, and most gameplay ideas are borrowed from the 2019 concept. A lot of this is foggy because I did not make Game Design Documents back in 2019, so please, bare in mind that while I tried to make this as closely as I would've in 2019, there will be changes (as well as general quality of life improvements).

This was made for @05carMagu1re 's FNAF Lost Media jam in around 5 days, using mostly 2019 assets.
