What do you think?

This is great! Level design has improved significantly from the first demo. My only complaint is that the character feels a bit too slippery.

This is a great start. The riskiness of the character's attack creates a unique platforming and combat experience. I would ask for some kind of brief tutorial to explain the controls. Reminds me of the good parts of a Kirby game.

amazing

Just played your winter build and I'm fairly impressed by the progress you made! Although that one's already a few months old at this point. Are you still working on this or did you shelf it?

It's kind of meager at this point. Are the other levels from your screenshots already implemented, because I couldn't find a way to progress past the first few screens

Great Grasslands

Bast and the Sky Shards is a high-speed platformer built around dashing. It has 8-bit graphics and music to bring it closer to the feel of classic games while using modern design to offer a fresh experience.

Play as Bast, a bat on a mission to seal a hole in the sky. On your journey you’ll meet colorful characters, face tough challenges, and even uncover an ancient evil, if you’re fast enough.

Week 50: Background Tiles

One up the upsides of the recent conversion is that we can use the new layer system to easily implement background scenery!
Now there should be significantly fewer floating patches of ground
