Look, don't get me wrong: I absolutely love this AU, and the overall concept of the crossover is amazing. But the scaling in Phase 2 is complete, unadulterated trash.

Giving Sans DT and a Kivotos halo is a cool idea on paper. Even if you argue that the DT and halo fused to give him a massive defensive buff, it should be NOWHERE near enough to let him flat-out tank a hit from a Level 33 Player with zero damage. At LV 20 in canon, the Player has enough conceptual power to erase an entire timeline. At LV 33, our striking power is infinitely higher than anything a halo should ever be able to withstand.

Even in high-tier AUs like DustDust, where Sans literally consumes an entire Determination soul just to buff himself and prevent his own death in Phase 2, it NEVER made him completely immune to damage. He gets insane stamina, HP, and defense from a literal soul, but he isn't an untouchable god. Baseline Sans is the weakest thing in the multiverse(maybe not literally the weakest thing in the multiverse, but you know what i mean) with 1 DEF; a halo shouldn't turn him into a lazy brick that ignores a normal slash from a Level 33 Player. It doesn't need to be a universe-ending attack—at LV 33, even a basic strike is backed by so much LOVE and killing intent that it should easily overwhelm any defensive buff a halo could provide. Sans had 1 DEF. Multiplying that by a halo's protection still shouldn't result in complete damage immunity from someone who's basically a god of violence at that point.

Instead of making him an invincible wall, the animation would be a million times better if the creators used actual game mechanics:

Make him dodge. Let him keep his signature mechanic instead of turning him into a lazy brick.

Make him take heavy damage but survive. If he DOES get hit, let the halo and DT allow him to survive a massive blow with a chunk of HP left so he can keep fighting.

Use the Ketchup. We already saw him use ketchup in Phase 1. Since monster food instantly turns into energy and heals the consumer in canon lore, let him use it to restore health, stamina, or magic mid-fight.

And don't even get me started on the Player's stats. How does the Player suddenly jump to 9999 HP after killing the girls while STILL being LV 33? Your HP is directly tied to your LV. It would make perfect sense if the Player ate a high-tier special item before phase 1.75 to buff themselves—

TYPE: Consumable / Combat Buff

DESCRIPTION: A glowing, golden flask labeled "FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY." Contains pure, distilled Determination—plus a few ingredients that definitely violate the Geneva Convention of game design.

EFFECT: Upon consumption, the Player's HP is forced to 9999 for the remainder of the encounter. This effect completely ignores max HP caps, overflows all standard safeguards, and makes the game's code scream in agony.

BEST USED AGAINST: Bosses that think they're clever.

SIDE EFFECTS: Intense satisfaction, maniacal laughter, and the sudden urge to say "git gud" directly to the boss's face.

See? It's not hard to justify a 9999 HP buff. You just need to actually WRITE it into the fight instead of going 'random HP buff go brrr' for artificial difficulty.

I love the creativity behind Visitor From The Underground, but the creators completely ruined the balance and threw established mechanics out the window just to force an impossible fight. Cool concept, absolutely atrocious execution.
