Finally got time to complete this game!
I had to get used to instant death from falling to hole but after that I could manage to explore every place, reach final boss, defeated him and complete the game
There are 3 bugs I discovered:
Getting blown by wind in Lapis right after latching to rope bridge could cause Rygar to get stuck in latching state.
Exit door after defeating Dorago is closed (also in rematch). I had to warp to get out.
In Ligar's palace, the second shadow ball leaps high through ceiling and never to be seen again.
Could someone please tell me how to end the game? I got stuck to the point where I can't, due to the wind, jump onto a tree branch in the town of Garloz. Please help me!
This is a fan made version of the original NES Rygar game. A Classic to me and this was another NES game that I loved since a kid and dreamed of making my own Rygar. This is it! With many differences but still over all the same game. This is a 2d nonlinear adventure game where you search for tools to help you get to other parts of the world. I will use the "Metroidvania" (was that right?) term in this game because the overall formula is here. Some of my differences include, instead of gathering EXP, you find HP bottles to increase your HP max. My game Rygar learns spells by collecting stars from enemies. You can get attack spells and healing spells that use up MP. My game you can save your progress by finding rooms where the hermits save your progress. I took out all of the overhead view game play simply because i didnt feel it was needed in my game. The music is all the same, SFX mostly same and all that good stuff. The enemies are all the same all though their AI is different. In a nutshell that is pretty much it, I hope any Rygar fan will appreciate this! #fangame #action #platformer #retro
