Awesome game and the game has an incredible atmosphere. Only wish it would be a longer demo and actually a full game. Here's a Lets play on the game:
It's a good game with some nice atmosphere. The controls are kind of slippery and the player sprite could use some work. My two main gripes are: the fact that the text pops up in a screen that pauses the game is extremely annoying and breaks the flow and immersion of the game, and the 8 bit song is kind of intrusive.
A sweet little demo of a game whose idea has been done to the death. I have a feeling that this could be great, but until it's expanded and until it has features added, it's going to be an atmospheric pebble on a beach of rocks.
Before I Go... is an explorative maze-like platformer with an emphasis on atmosphere. You walk around a maze-like labyrinth, collecting switches to open gates in order to progress to the exit. The small snippets of text that accompany every switch are the words of an old man on his death bed, imparting wisdom to those by his bedside.
The final game will feature far more complex mazes, requiring a lot of exploration and forward thinking. The current music is a placeholder, temporarily stolen from Final Fantasy Adventure (It's Amanda's Theme, for those of you who were wondering), but captures the theme of the game nicely.
I'm not sure when the final game will be complete, as I really want to take my time with this, to make something a bit special, and 'proper'.
