What do you think?

It sucks that you didnt get this game done in time for the jam :/

It uses the expereince of being a sick-of-everything second year middle-kingdom hieroglyphics student, translating sections of Berlin Papyrus 3024 [A dispute between a man tired of living and his soul] as its basis. The work aims to examine how we try, often very differently, to fill the gaps of life [both literally the lacuna in the papyri and those in the present-world], the recursive relationship between translator and translated and how the sentiments contained in documents 1000’s of years old can resonate [despite taking on different meanings and contexts] in the present. The IF game is being built in twine using a modified version of xax’s multi-pane layout.

Part of the work aims to test how current archaeological documentation facilitates or supports the use of personal narrative of historic material. To achieve this the work will reference the London Charter - a document aimed at establishing methodological rigor for computer-based visualisation and communication of cultural heritage.
