So I tried your game out and I'm here to tell you my honest thoughts. The game has potential and it looks cool as a beat'em up, but as platformer it sucks. Maybe because OpenBor engine that is not made for platformer style of gameplay in mind, but the platforming in this game are frustrating. And then there is too much places with the cheap damage. Like, I got to the level in the forest, after the one where you have to jump on cars, and oh boy, there is too much of a cheap damage. I could not get passed that level, and after trying to beat it and wasting my final life, all of the sudden I saw game over screen.
But you know what frustrates me more? Is the fact that there is no continues. So after you lost, you can't go back and continue from the place where you stopped at. Like, WTF is this, man? It is not 90s and we are not playing this game on a arcade machine. So when I play a video game at home, I wanted to have fun after hard work. I wanted to relax and not think about anything. So when I boot up the game, I expect it to be fair and fun. But in the end I can't even continue from the place where I stopped at. So why do I need to play your game exactly? Don't get me wrong, you did an amazing job with TMNT Rescue Palooza, but Bloody Paws Unleashed is not your best game. In fact, I think that it should be a free none profit game because, it is not worth it's money, in my opinion. Because it is far from perfect. VERY FAR. And keep in mind, this comes from the man who grew up playing retro video games on NES and then on Sega Mega Drive. So I know what I'm talking about, judging from my experience.
So the pros and cons goes like this.
Pros: Good beat'em up, cool looking retro visuals, cool soundtrack.
Cons: Everything else. Bad hitboxes, bad platforming, too much cheap damage, no difficulty selection, no continues, weird plot, game are too quiet despite the fact that I cranked up the sound in the settings. The engine that was not made for platforming style of gameplay in mind.
Verdict: The game not worth it's money in my opinion. Thus it should be completely free none profit game, because of it's quality that needs a lot of polish.
looks great, i think im gonna buy it soon

Bloody Paws Unleashed is a remake and expansion of the 1990 game Bloody Paws, which was developed in Spain by Mar Entertainment and released for the ZX Spectrum and MSX. In 2020, a completed version of Bloody Paws was released for the Amstrad CPC.
The original 1990 Bloody Paws was a game full of personality: a side-scrolling beat ‘em up in which players control a melodramatic werewolf on a quest to find his missing wife and fight a horde of eccentric creatures such as invisible men, rope-jumping mummies, off-brand superheroes, and the Frankenstein monster. The game also had an unfortunate behind-the-scenes story: the publisher released the game before it was completed, without even informing (or paying!) the developers.
Merso Entertainment counts with the blessing of the creator of the original Bloody Paws, Juan Carlos Sanchez, to bring this cool relic of the past to the PC and give it an overhaul. Free from the limitations of the 8-bit systems of the 80s, Bloody Paws Unleashed injects the original game with color, new levels, additional moves, and more!
This remake also rescues elements that were not fully implemented in the original game due to memory limitations, like the witch. Thanks to the original sketches found by Juan Carlos, this enemy has been finally included in Bloody Paws, over 30 years later!!
