What do you think?

Hi I really apologize for how late this review is but I finally got the chance to review it on my site. Check it out here: http://www.jtrev23reviews.com/2016/06/ballplay-cupid.html

Summary

BallPlay is a series of arcade puzzle games, in which the player must change the direction of balls rolling mindlessly through a field in order to get the task at hand done, without losing too many balls.

BallPlay Cupid is a new instalment of the Ballplay series. The basic game mechanics are the same as in BallPlay Genius, however a few new twists

  • First of all a fully graphical screen only. No more use of the OSes interface. Not only does the engine I used not support it, but it also appeared loads of people could not play BallPlay Genius as a result, and people who wanted to shoot this as a video for YouTube suffered most of all.

  • Second a few more twists have been added.

One note.

Despite the word "Cupid" in the game title and even some hearts, this game has NOTHING to do with romance at all. "Cupid" was just a pretty obvious code name given the fact that I used the http://love2d.org engine to develop this game.

Features

  • Playable with mouse

  • Play puzzles in random order

  • Create your own puzzles.

  • Multi-Language (By default English and Dutch, however, translating this game is very easy)

  • Music and audio effects can be turned off if you desire.

  • A color-blind mode for the puzzles in which colors play a role. (The colored parts when then get marked with a number).

  • Works on Windows, Mac and Linux (although Linux users will need to install Löve2D manually as a dependency. This approach was recommended by the creators of Löve2D themselves).

  • Easy to learn, but still challenging to play.

Minimal requirements

  • OpenGL 2.1

  • 64 bit (mac only, other systems also accept 32 bit).

  • Mac users need: Snow Leopard or later. The game was tested on El Capitan.

  • Windows users need: XP or later, although Windows 7 or 10 is recommended.

  • A pretty fast computer is strongly recommended.
