LoneStarLuigi's First Rpg Maker Project (That is original)

Story
Vincent is a traveler who has traveled far and wide. What for? To escape his nightmares -specifically a nightmare he had that scared him so bad he ran away from his home city because he didn't want it possibly coming true.

Two years later Vincent finds himself stumbling across some ruins that are said to be over 1000 years old. The only catch is that nobody has ever opened them before. Many rumors spread about what's inside - some believe it's a boat-load of money, others believe it's a demon overlord waiting to rain destruction on everyone.

Vincent, curious about these ruins and wanting to set his mind at ease about the nightmare, starts a research team to go into the history of them and figure out a way to open the doors. Little does Vincent and his group realize that a kingdom of cultists exist who want to open the ruins for themselves... for they believe the demon overlord lies inside.

What is behind those doors? Can Vincent finally solve the issue to the nightmare that is haunting him? Or will a new nightmare appear?

A story driven plot, with plenty of character development, and lore.

Simple front view battle system to make things less complicated.

Detective quests, take a break from the main story to solve other mysteries for towns folk!

A unique way of progression, instead of grinding monsters to level up and gain new abilities, you instead use stat increasing items and have to find many other ways to get new skills to upgrade your character, there's no leveling or grinding in this game.

2 different endings.

3 Difficulty settings, play the game on Easy, Normal, or Brutal.
Easy will set your stats at a good enough spot and give the player good equipment this is for players who want to play for story only.

Normal is the standard difficulty. Nothing is changed, this is the recommended difficulty setting.

Brutal makes gold harder to find, enemies will deal way more damage than before, everything in shops costs 5x more than on normal, sell-able treasure items will be removed, stat increasing items and skills are harder to find and cost 10x more than on normal, and certain puzzles will be changed, this is not for the faint of heart.

Quick Note
This is a more story focused rpg, meaning that there are rpg elements and battling, and exploring dungeons etc. But they're not the main focus of the game. Obviously the story goes into much deeper territory than that. That is a synopsis for now. That also being said, I'm not the best mapper ever, the maps you see currently in the images have been made with a laptop mouse of all things. Also, all images are not final images. Things are still in the works.
