question: is there any way to turn off the music? I honestly can't remember if the original windows version had music but I only want the sounds effects :) thanks!
Great Classic!
Nice Arcade puzzle.
BTW: Cool YouTube Vids!
I think if it was listed as an Arcade Game it should be a High 4 or a Low 5!
But, listed as a Puzzle?
I don't think that it fits that catagory to be given anything other than average.
Being addicted to Puzzle Software, I find too many software creations listed in the Puzzle section that belong in the Arcade or Platformer section.
I can easily see myself pumping quarters into some machine playing your remake. (You learn a little more each time you pump more quarters into the machine:)
As far as your work is concerned, Fantastic!
Will confess that I only tried a few leves because as soon as I learned that it was an Arcade game, I lost interest.
However, what I saw in those first few levels was clean programing skill.
You do very good work. Congrats!

It was a decent CC clone, but from one Chips fan to another, you have two blaring glitches. First, the messages you get when you die are underneath your water object. Second, if you walk onto a curve piece on the ice, you have to restart, because you can't move.
Also, wth was up with level 9?

Chip's Challenge:
Insert Awesome Name Here
I loved Chip's Challenge since I got my Windows 95 (and I was, like, 6 or something) and I forgot about it until recently, and I thought, "Woah! I can make games! I would love to make a Chip's Challenge game! Everything could be customized to what I want!" So I started. I've got all the basics.
Features:
● Chips
● Chip, himself
● Keys/Locks
● A Timer
● Pushable Blocks
● Invisible Walls
● Invisible Pushable Blocks (my addition )
● Moving Platform Things.
● Water
● Basic bugs (the enemy)
● Water Flippers (to let you swim)
● Fire
● Flame Boots (to let you walk on fire)
● A Basic Save/Load System
● A Level Editor (that I'm still working on)
● Chip now has walking sprites! (left and right)
● Ice
● Curved Ice Blocks
● Skates
● 12 Levels
● Improved graphics.
● Help File (F1 in game)
(and some other stuff I'm forgetting, I'll add later)
Bugs to be fixed:
Pushable blocks can be pushed through locks.
Skates don't show up in inventory.
Fixes:
Chip doesn't walk in place.
GREEN KEYS LAST FOREVER.
Green=Newest Updates
Coming Soon:
● Left, Right, and Upward moving floors
● Suction Boots (For walking on moving floors as you wish)
● Giving Chip Walking Sprites (Up and down are next) (Incredibly freakin' hard, if someone would like to help me out with this they'd get some nice, big credit )
● LOTS more levels
● Actually finishing the level editor
These go roughly in the order I'll work on them.
I'm planning on refurbishing every graphic from the Windows 95 game. I've done some, like Chip, and walls and stuff. I'm working on it.
