Ryon, one question: what exactly is that amalgamation of clowns, why do they want to "kill" Mort, and why does the child at the end... EXPLODE?

Alright, this might be the worst game I've ever made. At least, the worst one released under the 'ryon' name.
I made this game for Ludum Dare 48 with some of my college roommates. It was the first and only Ludum Dare we ever participated in, and we had very little gamemaking experience. We overscoped, burnt out, and scrambled against the deadline to make...uh, this?
In case you didn't put it together, the clown radio from Friedrich's is a nod to the main character of this game, because I still like his design, Honestly, if people didn't like the clown radio so much, I probably would've just let this game fade into obscurity. But lucky for everyone, here it is!

Original Description
Mort the Clown has been hired to entertain at a neighborhood boy's birthday party. Upon arriving at the party, Mort finds that the boy has dug himself deep into a hole into his own backyard. A dedicated clown, Mort must brave the depths below in order to give the boy an unforgettable birthday show. Deeper and deeper he goes, Mort finds himself faced with perilous pits, dangerous monsters, and a cruel reflection of his own psyche. Can Mort brave the dark depths of his own mind and find the boy?
