A massive, mysterious energy source crosses the solar system and begins to have troubling effects on Earth and its own magical gems, and Eggman's interest is piqued. Little did he or anyone know that this energy source is another world, a planet full of life, with a magical gem of its own to keep this life thriving.
When Eggman's meddling actions set in motion a star system-wide cataclysm, Earth is set on a collision course with the very star it orbits. Now, Sonic and his team must hurry to put a stop to this disaster before it happens, and save the strange new planet and its greatly powerful gem from falling into Eggman's hands in the process.
