CRUNCHER'S is a story-driven fan game based on Five Nights at Freddy's. While it features a cute, anime-inspired art style, it also incorporates visually dark and unsettling elements. The story, despite its cartoonish presentation, deals with dark and mature themes such as death and trauma.
The story follows Jacob Krollk, a man trying to cope with the loss of his son and wife, as he works at the very restaurant where his son was killed. His daughter, Ashley, soon leaves home to live with her boyfriend, Alex, and Jacob begins to feel alone. Soon, however, Jacob begins to experience paranormal activity in his home and workplace, sensing a presence he has never experienced before. Is there any meaning to these events? Or is it all just his imagination?
CRUCNHER'S (like many fan games) combines random elements with player skill to create a simple yet fun gameplay experience. With every death you learn something new, and the lack of hints or instructions to explain the game's mechanics, it's more challenging than the average fan game.
