Hi, My name is Dave, and I approve this game.
Dave’s Mind is an atmospheric stealth/puzzler where you are locked and in a dark, mysterious world and you have to use and destroy the environment around you to force your way to freedom.
Every piece of furniture and hardware in the scenario can be destroyed either directly or indirectly. It’s our goal to deliver an action packed environmental puzzler that forces you to mindfully sprint through the scenario and react quickly to expansive chains of destruction around you. A combination of methodical planning and execution skills!
The destructio is formed by each object's material (wood, metal, etc) and the elemental forces of the world, these beign:
Electricity propagates quickly through metals, disengaging electronics.
Coffee Corrodes plastics, destroying them completely.
Water switches elemental properties
Fire propagates slowly through woods and papers
Wind can push event stone objects away with it's force
The story is upfront about taking place inside the mind of a person.
Dave was a regular salary man that slowly had his world turned upside down. It’s up to you to put the pieces of his mind back together, discover the truth, and to do whatever it takes to save him, even if it’s from himself.
Dark and atmospheric sections.
Slowly unravelling story
Focus on exploration and environmental storytelling.
The world of Dave’s Mind was once full of personalities, but now only a few survivors remain, scattered throughout the world. Find them and will help you your journey, even if they may first need help themselves.
5 recurring characters to be found in the world (2 are optional)
Each has its own mini story arc
Characters only use expressions to communicate
The prowling foes of Dave’s Mind are all lethal, and either by choice or nature, don't communicate. You will need to mind your steps and rely on the environment to move past them with stealth. Especially so if confronting them directly...
6 enemy types
Enemy has a combination of 8 different behavioral patterns.
Reflecting the morphing nature of a mind, certain events in the story can alter the world and it’s biomes permanently. A dark sterile room at the beginning of the game can be an open and blushing place by the end of it.
The release of the world’s water reserves at the end of the second boss fight is one of such events, bringing water to rooms that did not have any before, and with it, introducing new pathways to previous areas of the game.
Interconnected world, Metroidvania-like
Game tells if the puzzle you are on can be completed at the moment.
5 bosses and 5 biomes in total.
Strength level system governs which object can be directly moved.

Working towards being able to push objects out of furnitures onto the ground and other furnitures, this brings so many new possibilities!! #NewMecanic #Puzzles #Punch
These are some of the earliest visual styles we tried in Dave's Mind.
We started with a more realistic style, but along the way we realized that a more toonish look suited us better.
Some of the old concepts of our main character, fells like we were going over them yesterday :)
