I played chapter one until the puzzle enemy did "your best nightmare" jumpscare and kill me with jevil's projectiles. 10/10

anytime i try to play this game i get the annoying dog sleeping screen
first time playing this mod. for some reason when i try to use chara's knife spell it doestn work and i get softlocked? is there a way to fix this? pls help
