Donjon is a RPG where austerity mixes with imagination. Largely based on text events and a mocking narrator, this game puts yourself in the heart of the tribulations of a troll lost in the depths of a mysterious dungeon. Stupid objects and actions easily mingle with various monsters and dangerous places. The goal is to survive long enough to understand what happens in this dark place.

Everything is random in the Donjon game. Dice throws (logic), spawns of monsters, characters or objects, each game will be slightly different from the previous one. A score is calculated at the end of the game, in order to determine your exploit, your courage or your class. Indeed, finishing the game with class is not easy but, yet, your score will be amply rewarded. However, the instructions given in the game are minimal or nonexistent. The goal is to try, successfully or with miserably failure – even the simplest action could turn into a tragedy – to better understand what the Donjon game reserve to the player. It is sometimes cruel, painful, but always with humor and good spirit.
