Don't Die

a nice little survival game that performs well, has cute and nice-looking blocky graphics and lots of things to do! the game feels very relaxing and the gameplay is pretty addicting - i love setting up my own base, exploring the map and encountering the various flora and fauna while also getting my character stronger with new crafted equipment and other quality-of-life things!) i also love that you can actually save your progress so that you can take more risky options while playing - good job!

but, with all that said, i have a few complaints about the game - firstly, i wish the map where you play was randomly generated to give every play a unique experience, but the map already present in the game is pretty good. secondly, the recovery time after mining a rock or chopping a tree is pretty slow and feels obnoxious - it would be better if the animation was a little bit faster to make this issue less annoying. and, for the last, i've encountered a nasty bug (or a feature?) - after building the statue that boosts happiness and sleeping in a tent my health started rapidly dropping - after i exited the tent the issue prevailed - maybe i got poisoned from some food or something else, but it was still pretty nasty - not knowing the cause of your character dying is pretty bad... but, all of the beforementioned problems are pretty minor and don't make the overall experience from the game bad - but it would be better if they were adressed and handled properly!)

all in all, this was a pleasant and good experience - i loved playing through it and had a lot of fun surviving in this unjust world!) AGS Studio, you did a good job at making a enjoyable and great survival game that both plays well and performs well - i wish you best of luck and nerves of steel in your future endeavors!) take care!
