It's certainly funny and nicely animated. "Meat shield" indeed

Looks interesting! But I have the same problem and cannot read the dialogues, wich of course makes the story pretty difficult to follow!
Check your canvas setting, I know they can be a pain!
Got it to run through WINE, the dialog box used the top quarter of my screen but most text was outside it (1080p).
I think some of the dialogue and text is outside my screen for whatever reason! It's like I only see the last part of the sentences. Have you got any idea what's wrong?
The movement and especially the turning is very smooth, so I'd love to get a fuller sense of what it's about! 
Looks like an interesting start to something, would like to see more.

My entry for #AdvJam2019! Basically a pretty obvious beta of a paper mario-based game I've started. You play as Rookie number 1834, a soldier which will discover the truth of the corruption on his fleet after he finds his superior talking about replacing all humans with robots. The principal mechaninc of the game would be that every character has 2 different form that can switch from in combat, but due to time constraints I haven't been able to implement that.
