Very cute game! Are the characters the actual team members of the gamedev team? That's really putting yourselves into the game! :)
For those with only one controller: I only have one controller, but was able to use it for multiple people by redefining the inputs in the little Unity game configuration screen, setting the other player to the other thumb stick on the controller and change the fire button for it. I was even able to define multiple players to the same joystick to control them at the same time!
