Disclaimer: This game is a parody fangame of the 2004 RPG Maker cult classic "Yume Nikki." I do not claim to own Yume Nikki, nor intend to infringe on copyright.

Please do not take this game super seriously, it is all meant to be an attempt to create a short experience based on fruitless attempts of mine over the past six years to create a Yume Nikki fangame using what I am good at in terms of art and programming. I do not expect this game to blow up, this is just something I have wanted to make for a long time now. Thank you for understanding.

Dream Vacation is an extremely short Yume Nikki parody fangame created by ObscuritySTA in Clickteam Fusion 2.5.

Premise
You play as a young man named Sheru, who refuses to leave his apartment for reasons unknown. You must explore his dreamscape and find 3 effects and 3 []s in order to escape.

Controls
Arrow Keys = Movement
ESC = Close Game
Z = Use Effect 1 (only in certain rooms)
X = Use Effect 2 (only in certain rooms)
CTRL = Interact (only in certain rooms, will be prompted when it is needed beforehand)
Left Click = Interact (only in certain rooms, will be prompted when it is needed beforehand)

Development History

This game was created over the course of my summer break between semesters. This is the result of ideas and concepts I have been planning since summer 2015. The project of Dream Vacation originally began conception in June 2018, following a summer vacation of mine. The project went dormant in the months following as a result of me not knowing RPG Maker 2000/2003 very well nor having the time available to dedicate to learning it. Further attempts occurred across 2019 and 2020 in silence in an attempt to finish this game. Eventually, in May 2021, the game was programmed and rebooted from scratch, first on RPG Maker 2003 and then finally on Clickteam.
