NIGHTFALL is a fangame of DELTARUNE based several years before the events of the current story, a prequel following the adventures of the original fun gang as they explore the worlds of dark, tackle the consequences of their role within the prophecy and uncover a wide-spanning conspiracy that fundamentally changes the lives of our stories' protagonists. your role in that, of course, is the player. in accordance with that you will guide asriel dreemur and december holiday through both personal and external challenges across their journey through the dark.

while this is a story that will intentionally parallel the original DELTARUNE, it is a fan interpretation of the events before the original game's premise. to ensure that NIGHTFALL can fit into DELTARUNE as neatly as we can the fangame will release in episodic chapters, similar to the actual DELTARUNE, giving us wiggle room to change things as we go and more of DELTARUNE'S story is revealed. Similarities are inevitable, but we will absolutely work to make this fangame our own too!
