Synopsis
The story of the adventure game Exitus: In memoriam follows the last moments of Rick Huston's life. A dying man returns in his memories to the places that shaped his entire life.
Story
One rainy night an ambulance brings a man in serious condition to a hospital in Hope, Maine. Although he appears to have no serious injuries at first glance his condition is critical and no one doubts that he will not survive until morning. The only form of identification the man has on him is a local library card issued in the name of Rick Huston.
With his eyes wide open the man lies in one of the hospital rooms. He doesn’t communicate with anyone and the doctors and nurses simply await his death. His mind, however, is in a completely different place at that moment—a place where he was truly happy for the last time in his life and to which he is now returning to take stock of his life.
