It puts you, the player, in the shoes of the security guards it is based on for the sake of "authenticity". The game features a new animatronic, the new phantom animatronics, and a new maintenance system.
It is the third installment in the Five Nights at Boo's series, and chronologically takes place thirty years after the events of the first game, in a horror-themed attraction based on the chain of restaurants featured in the first two games.
