the original game with new modes and also improves it with new effects and more. ReEncored includes a completely new soundtrack for the game, but there is also an option to switch to the original soundtrack.
Answers to questions:
Does this mean that ReEncored will carry over all the content from 3.0 and 4.0, but just done in the 2.0 style? Partially. A lot of the content from these versions will be carried over, but most of the new content will be specially created.
Will ReEncored be new canon or old canon?
Most likely, there will be a separate canon that does not belong to the old or new. But it will most likely be a mix of old and new content.
and 3: Do I need the original game to run?
No. ReEncored will run separately from the original game.
