This time… you’re not the guard.

In Five Nights at Dylan’s 4, you play as a small, vulnerable black cat, trapped inside a twisted nightmare shaped by your deepest fears. The world around you isn’t real—but that doesn’t make it any less dangerous.

The house is warped, shifting, and alive with dread. Every creak, every shadow, every flicker of movement feels like something is watching you. And it is.

Your greatest fear takes form as the Portable Dylans—distorted, roaming entities that invade your nightmare. They don’t just hunt you… they follow you between spaces, appearing where they shouldn’t, forcing you to constantly stay alert. They are fast, unpredictable, and drawn to your fear.

You can’t fight back.

You can only hide, listen, and survive.

Use your instincts as a cat—crawl into tight spaces, stay low, and watch your surroundings carefully. Your senses are your only advantage. Listen for subtle audio cues, watch for unnatural movement, and react quickly before it’s too late.

But your mind is fragile.

As the night progresses, your nightmare becomes more unstable. Hallways twist, rooms change, and the line between safety and danger disappears. The more afraid you become, the stronger the Portable Dylans grow.

Somewhere within the nightmare are fragments of truth—hidden memories and secrets that explain why you’re here… and what the Portable Dylans really are. Finding them may help you understand your fear—or trap you deeper inside it.
