You know, when Doctor Lilith’s augmentation surgery failed, she said something like. It’s not the same, looking through a screen. I want something more. I want something so raw and so volatile, and I want it seared into my eyes. I want it to encompass every single photoreceptor and skin graft.
It’s crazy, because I don’t think she ever understood how lucky she was, being organic. Being so pathetically human in her want and her desperation and her sandbox tantrum when she doesn’t get what she wants.
She used to fly, before the Trailblazers—and she’s been chasing that high ever since.
