Description

"Freddy and his bandmates are due to make one last stop, at a museum for all to see and enjoy for decades to come. It is your job to see to their safety at the "NEX-Co Safety Storage Bunker". There, you will be situated in your very own security office. It comes with a security system that is up to state standards (valid until 2028), a secondary power generator, a Neobeam Flashlight, and an Emergency Lockdown Button. All of this will be at your convenience to protect our property. Do note, however, that if anything happens to Freddy or his bandmates, you will be fired, sent a court notice, and promptly sued. This will also be the case if you break our NDA regarding your position, location, etc. So what are you waiting for? Come help join our cause in protecting Freddy and Co. They won't bite, that we promise!"

Story

The Terror endures. In the concluding epilogue of the Five Nights at Freddy's Series, you are to confront the mistakes of the past and the unpredictable dangers of the future. You, Gabriel Fisher, arrive at NEX-Co's Bunker for your first shift. As you open the bunker's hatch to enter, you begin your descent down a ladder. Before you start descending the latter, you are forcefully pushed off of it, plummeting into the depths of the bunker. Upon regaining consciousness, you discover that your phone is broken. Although you are unharmed, troubling questions start to occupy your mind. How will you escape? What caused your fall? How should you proceed with your duties?

Gameplay

Melancholy (FNaF V) will play out in an unorthodox fashion by having nights lasting a lot longer than your average FNaF Fangame's night. You will have tasks to complete before a countdown timer will start, which then you'll just have to survive. A lot of mechanics for you and the animatronics will be unique to this fangame, while also taking inspiration from other fangames as well.

Lore

Melancholy will take place after FNaF 3 and will redefine the lore of the core FNaF series to make a sorrowful and grandiose finale for the series. (The lore that will be presented in this will be canon to FNaF 1 - 4 only. FNaF World won't be canon, but will have some influence on the lore).
