i got it!
I tried the demo and wanted to leave some feedback. To start, this is super cool! The game looks way different with the AI-upscaled graphics. However, when you added your touches, you changed too much, in my opinion. A fix to this would be to have an option to switch the additional graphical touches off and have the old ones return. You should also have an option to have the game stretch to fill your screen. I wouldn't say I liked playing with black bars, even if 4:3 was the intended aspect ratio initially. Overall, this is a pretty neat project, though I suggest adding something that checks if you own the game on Steam for the full version.
(PS: The game didn't read my original save data.)
