The feeling of playing as a monster instead of a human.... it fills you with DETERMINATION. Hype fully restored

This game is great. The battle system, the dialogue, the characters are all very nice. I would like to give this game more praise but i keep running into this glitch where i won't let me interact with key points in the game so i would just be stuck and can't move forward. This happened in Toriel's home when I couldn't go to sleep and in the tile portion with Jasper when I couldn't talk to him and he was blocking the way. This game has a lot of potential and I would really like to finish it so I hope that these problems can get resolved so i can complete the game. Thank you.

The colored tiles room seems to be broken if you ask for help. Pitfalls don't seem to work often, and goatbro blocks your way and can't be interacted with.

So, I finally decided to post this. I'm quite a bit nervous to be honest.
I give no guarantee's I'll ever finish this, but I will try my hardest.
But here it goes.

~Overview~

Fragile Hearts is an Undertale fan game, made with the intent of being a full fan game in which you travel the UNDERGROUND from the perspective of a monster who has no memory of their past. While some important areas will be almost 1 to 1 from Undertale, most areas past the Ruins shall be majorly changed.

This fan game is also not recommended to be played unless you have already played Undertale yourself, as plot spoilers aplenty

~Story~
Awakening without any memory, you stumble into the ruins, quickly being found by Toriel after fending off Flowey's attacks. As she is showing you through the ruins, new and strange monsters approach her, aggressively demanding she hand you over, despite this, she is able to send them off with ease.
But the question remains, who were these monsters?
You may come to learn this as you travel through out the underground, meeting faces new and old, encountering strange new characters, and ultimately, deciding the fate of the world and uncovering the new secrets lying in the underground.
It's your story, and your adventure awaits.

~Changes from Undertale~

  • The battle system is more of a traditional side view on instead of the bullet hell from Undertale. Though the mercy mechanics have been kept.

  • Instead of gaining EXP, you gain CAP. CAP can be spent to individually upgrade your stats.

  • Your inventory space is no longer 8. But now it is 20! You may also upgrade this.

  • However, there is now a limit to how much money you can hold. Don't worry, it's upgrade-able too.

  • Party Members! You gain new party members as you traverse the world.

  • To make up for the battle system changes, the puzzles are receiving much more love and care.

  • So far, while the True Pacifist, and Genocide endings will remain, albeit changed, there will be plenty of new and more interesting Neutral endings depending on your actions. ...At least that's the plan.

  • Plenty of new areas!

  • ... Don't expect this to mean new primary areas. It will still be The Ruins, Snowdin, Waterfall, Hotland.

*Oh, unlockable stuff that carries into resets.

I've made my decision, and now it's time to stick to it.
I've decided I'll be finishing the game with the sprites I have, making new ones as needed.
And then updating the game post release as needed.

I've come to a troubling impass.
I need to make more sprites to complete the game.
But any new sprites I make may look out of place.
This is troubling to say the least...

Do I take the time to remake sprites? Or say 'f it and just finish the game?

It's been a long time, hasn't it?

GMS2 isn't working out, the updates potentially kill any progress with backtracking and fixing.
And Working with GMS1 will put me on a death timer.
I guess I'm going back to RPG Maker. :\

Don't think I'm out of tricks yet though... :3

Update: Some stuff.

Alright, I've made my final decision with what I'm doing.
So for now, Updates are going radio silent, but I'm going to be working extremely hard on the game.

*sigh* I'm worried if things keep going at this speed, the game's never gonna get finished ;_;

What can I do?

Apparently the text box didn't work the way I wanted it to. So I had to make a few... adjustments to it @_@

*cracks knuckles* Alright, with the basics done, let's get a prototype up and running for beta testers.

Yeah, if you guys can't tell, I'm certainly suddenly more invested back into the project. \owo/
