Well done on the game :)

Genuinely a fantastic fan game. Setting is awesome, atmosphere is top notch and finale made this game even more worth checking out. I have some minor complaints about the gameplay, especially with the start of the game and Night 4.

It was hard to understand when to use the SMU, so at the start I just used to wait for Fluppy and Henrietta appear in the respective places on the cameras, go to the door cranked shut and wait for the knock to use SMU. There was no audio cue to know if they have moved to the door or not, thus it was me wasting time at the door and getting killed over and over. That being said once I understood that I can literally see them go away and then move to the door to flash them the game became so much easier.

The second complaint I have is Night 4. For some reason I feel like it's the hardest night and night 5 didn't even came close in terms of difficulty? Maybe it was me locking in, but at Night 4 I died like 10 times, because of the Animatronics lining up perfectly from both sides making me unable to react in time. In night 5 I had none of those issues and completed it flawlessly without deaths.

That being said The Finale made it all worth it, the setting, the changes that happen. It's glorious, I cannot wait for more fangames made by this dev. Solid 10/10 experience.

Ok so first of all, the game is really good. When it comes to the visual atmosphere, story, voice acting, setting, mood the game is really good. In my opinion though, it starts to fall apart when you start to notice some glaring flaws in the mechanics. First of all, the audio cues for freddy are really weird and I have an assumption they are bugged, because sometimes I can clearly hear him before he is about to kill me and other times, he sounds like he is in the middle yet he is to the right/left (I play with good headphones). Second of all, there is a really annoying bug regarding the crank door mechanic, when you spin the crack, let go of it and move back to the pc sometimes the game thinks you are still interacting with it and can't bring your taser up the next time you face a door (great game design by the way, somehow messed up one of the core mechanics). Also I feel like the creator is trying to GIVE me an epilepsy even though I don't have one (there is no reason for the cameras to hurt my eyes so bad I can't even play the game). Another thing, why the hell is freddy's audio cue tied to the pc ? So what you are telling is that when freddy laughs NEXT TO ME, I can't hear him ? This creates a multitude of scenarios where I leave the pc to handle the other 2, go back to the pc and get jumpscared because when he laughed I wasn't on the pc. Same with me handling freddy and the other attacking in the mean time even though I have no reaction time on night 4/5. Otherwise great game, but I can't stand when I see people only talk about the good parts without criticizing the glaring issues.

Fred and Pals was developed using Turbowarp/Scratch, with all 3D visuals created in Blender.
Some in-game textures were sourced from BlenderKit, while sound effects and ambience were obtained from Freesound.

Fred and Pals is, in my eyes, the most passionate project I’ve ever worked on.
What started as a small concept, “what if I made an FNaF 1-style game, but in my own way?” eventually grew into something much bigger.

From fun and interesting gameplay mechanics to building the story, Fred and Pals means a lot to me as its creator.

It has helped me grow further in my coding career.
